Beaches in Nice
The Hotel Best Western Roosevelt is less than a 5 minute walk from the Promenade des Anglais, boasting clear turquoise water and a multitude of private and public beaches. Nearby restaurants serve exquisite sea-food dishes while overlooking the Mediterranean Sea and during the summer months sport lovers can enjoy many types of water activities such as Jet skiing and Wind surfing.
A separate cycle path on the Promenade des Anglais and the easily accessible rentable bicycles (Nice’s Vélo Bleus) provide the perfect opportunity to take a relaxing ride while taking in the views of the sea.
Yearly events and festivals bring the city of Nice to life and make it one of the liveliest on the French Riviera. Not to be missed, the Nice Carnival takes place every February and provides two weeks of street processions including a flower parade and floats accompanied by dancers and live music.

Aside from its picturesque landscape and points of immense beauty, Nice also offers many museums and galleries. Discover the rich European and American history portrayed in a permanent collection of avant-garde works the Museum of Contemporary Art. The Chagall and Matisse museums, respectively, contain each artist’s personal collection while the Museum of Fine Arts also holds a beautiful collection dedicated to artists from the 16th to 19thcentury.
Stroll through the city on foot or by tram and peruse typically French boutiques in the Old Town, or stop to discover the lively Place Massena, undoubtedly the meeting place for all young people in Nice.
You can also enjoy a leisurely walk to the top of Chateau Hill for unparalleled views over the city (lift available) or visit the Phoenix Park which contains one of the largest tropical greenhouses in all of Europe.
